Target Audience: SENCo’s, EYFS leaders and practitioners
 
 Aim of the course: to develop practitioners understanding of impulsive behaviour, poor attention ADHD.
 
Course Content:
Supporting young children with poor attention and working memory, impulsive behaviour and ADHD can be challenging in the early years. It can also be difficult to know how to advise parents and carers.
 
This course will consider:
  • What is meant by poor attention and working memory, impulsive behaviour and the term ADHD.
  • The challenges young children face when dealing with impulsivity, such as sensory processing.
  • Practical ideas to reduce distractions, enhance memory and self and emotional regulation or self control, develop working memory and attention.
